artisan bread in 5 minutes a day

This is a book that every cook should own. I'm not a huge baker, but do like a good loaf of chewy artisan bread. This one breaks down home bread making to its simplest form and it produces fantastic bread. You’ll need a few things… a pizza stone, pizza peel, oven thermometer and a 5 qt bucket with a lid… and the book of course! Got them?

Okay, I'm sure you are now wondering, “how can I possibly make a delicious loaf of perfect bread in only 5 minutes?” I wondered the same thing too. Simple- you make enough dough to last you a week. It hangs out in your bucket and gets more complex as the days pass (toss it after 14). When you want a loaf simply cut off a dough ball, let it rise for 40 minutes and then bake it on your stone for another 30-35 minutes. Ahhhh, perfection. I think I could eat an entire loaf by myself. And if the book couldn’t be any better… it is! It not only has this recipe, but many many more. I haven’t tried any yet, but expect to see some soon!
